This month’s featured project is Web3Sec News, an independent Web3 security community making security research easier to understand and harder to ignore.
Since 2023, Web3Sec News has grown to 10,000+ community members and publishes a weekly newsletter covering hacks, vulnerabilities, and emerging threats across Ethereum and L2s. They’ve also published 120+ hack postmortems and exploit breakdowns, alongside deeper research into protocols and security risks.
A big part of their work focuses on threats that don’t always get enough attention - phishing, DNS hijacks, supply chain attacks, social engineering, and other ways users and teams can get compromised outside of smart contracts.

🎨 Nouns Piggy Bank: Creative Art for Children is bringing hands-on art experiences to children across Indonesia, with a goal of reaching 20,000 kids through painting, creativity, learning about saving, and an age-appropriate introduction to new technology.
This month’s GIVfriend is Assertions.eth, an open-source tool adding an extra layer of protection to high-stakes Ethereum transactions.
Assertions lets teams set conditions that must be true at the exact moment a transaction executes. If something isn’t right, the whole transaction reverts - helping protect treasury movements, protocol upgrades, governance actions, and other operations where there’s no room for surprises.
It’s already been put to the test in a big way: Assertions was used during TheDAO Security Fund reactivation, helping safely execute the movement of more than 75,000 ETH.
